Chapter 9- The missing link

“Babe I just thought bout somethin” Kasy says as she lays face down on Anna's floor, almost completely out of breath.


“Whats that love?”


“I havent been home in three days” Anna sits up with a blanket draped across her naked body and looks at her clock.


“Well its only three, do you want me to take you home?”Kasy chuckles and pushes her self up enough to kiss Anna.


“Not if you dont want me to go” Anna starts to smile causing her to blush a little. Suddenly, a seductive look takes over Anna's previous smile.


“I take that look as a no”


“Your damn skippy” Anna crawls towards Kasy, kissing her passionately.



Meanwhile at the Possible household, Kim is starting to panic. Calling everybody in her contacts list of her cell phone, searching for Kasy.



“ * Ring* * Ring* Hello?”


“Hi Spike is Kasy with you?” Kim asks in a less calm, but more frantic tone.


“No ma'am I haven't seen her since Tuesday, why whats up?”


“Oh nothing its just she hasn't been home or in school” Kim says as she starts to pace back and forth in Kasy's room.


“Oh well I haven't seen her. Do you want me to call her cell?”


“I've tried that it keeps going straight to voice mail”Kim starts to bite her finger nail, pacing faster in Kasy's room.


“Thats weird she never cuts off her phone unless she's-” And thats when it dawned on him. Spike knew exactly where and what Kasy was doing and with who. Spikes sighs and smiles.


“Mrs. P don't worry I think I know where you missing child is”


“YOU DO?!” Kim says with astonishment.


“Yea I do I'll bring her home for you ok, so you can relax and stop biting your nails” Kim looks at her hand and realizes she has nothing but nubs.


“Thank you Spike, bring my baby home please”


“Will do” Spike hangs up tossing his phone on the floor. He sighs and smiles “Damn Kase you can never stay out of trouble can you” Spike props himself against his headboard and lits a cigarette.


“Mm ew you know I don't like it when you smoke those things”


“Your point is?”


“Nothin so who was that?”


“Would you believe me if I said your mom” Sheki pops up with a confused look.


“Why was she callin you?”


“Lookin for your sis” Sheki sighs with relief and starts to put back on her clothes.


“So what are we doing” Spike asks as he takes a long drag of his cigarette.


“Well if I heard you correctly we're gonna go get Kase” Sheki says as she buttons her pants and runs her fingers through her long black hair. Spike turns leaning on his right elbow facing Sheki.


“You know what I meant” Sheki sighs, turning to face her naked secret lover.


“I don't know you tell me, cause last time I checked you were head over hills for my sis”


“Your right I WAS 'head over hills' for your sister but I guess I just realized its a lost cause trying to be with someone who doesn't even like my gender ya know”


“Good point but I still wanna know what that has to do with me? I mean I have a boyfriend that I love..”Sheki stops and thinks about the word she just used 'love'. Spike stands up and walks towards Sheki.



“I know you have a boyfriend and I know you really like him but do you really think you love him? Cause if that was the case we wouldn't have been sneakin around like this for the past few months now would we. Sheki look I know you and Spaz have been going through it lately and I dont mind if your using me as some kind of escape, but it feels pretty damn good to be wanted and need by someone” Sheki looks into Spikes eyes and sees something she has never seen before causing her to blush.



“All my life I've always been that rich kid who's parents are never home, so I've never felt wanted. But now that I have you I feel complete. I'm not saying I'm in love with you”


“Then what are you saying Spike” Sheki asks with a little quiver in her throat. Spike leans closer to Sheki's lips not leaving enough space for them to breath, but just enough so she can feel his words on her lips.


“I'm saying that its a possibility that I could fall in love with you” Spike leans completing the distance between their lips, kissing Sheki lightly. As Sheki starts to kiss him back his phone starts to ring again. He smiles and says “ How much you wanna bet thats one of your moms”


“Thirty on Shego”Sheki says.


“Thirty on Kim”Spike says.


“Deal” They say in unison. Spike crawls across the bed and answers.


“Hello?”


“So I hear you know where the missing link is”


“Yea I do I'm goin to go get her now actually”


“Oh well thanks and tell Sheki Bestbuy called and she has to come in at six”


“Ok will do, bye” Spike leans over the edge of his bed digging for something. He leans back up and tosses Sheki thirty dollars.


“Here and your mom said you have to go to work at six”


“HA! I knew it was Shego” Sheki says bouncing around Spike ample sized room.


“Yea yea dont rub it in ok. Lets go get your sis before your moms blow up my phone”





Thirty minuets later Spike and Sheki find themselves lost within a large neighborhood, but they don't really care. They're enjoying each others company and continue to converse about their past. They know enough about each other, but not that much; such as goals for the future and what they want to do after high school. Finally Sheki points out Anna's house.


“ I think thats it right there”


“How do you know?”Spike asks.


“The mail box says 'Lipsky Residence' and thats Anna's car” Sheki says as she points at all black  Lamborghini with all black twenty two inch rims.


“Hm good lookin out Sheki, now the question is how do we get your sis out if shes not answering her phone?” Sheki thinks for a moment tapping the top Spikes hand lightly. He smiles and admires how cute she looks trying to think.


“Oh I got it! Why not call Anna's cell”


“Good idea”Spike reaches in his pocket and pulls out his phone searching through his contact list, after a few seconds he finally find her number and calls. The phone rings five times but there was no answer.


“Damn they must be sleep or somethin”


“Or somethin...they're fuckin” Sheki says as she opens the car door making her way towards the massive door. Spike hops out and catches up with her.


“How do yo know they're havin sex, I mean I know thats what they're doin but how did you  figure that?” Spike asks as they get closer to the door. Sheki rings the bell and turns to face Spike.


“Trust me I know my sister she doesn't cut her phone off unless shes fuckin somebody” Spike nods in compliance and was about to say something, but a large muscular man opened the door.


“Can I help you?” He says.


“Um yea I'm lookin for my sister Kasy Possible. We heard she was here”


“Oh you must be her twin Sheki, me and the guys have heard a lot about you”


“Really well its nice to know my sis talks about me”


“Oh yea she says nothing but good things, and you must be Spike” The man says as he looks over Spike with a crooked smile.


“Um yea I guess thats me, how did you-”


“Anna talks about you and Kasy a lot too. How you two are always in trouble and how you two are very artistic”Spike starts to smile and scratch his head.


“Well I guess we're pretty good” Sheki nudges him in the side.


“So since you know our names may I ask for yours?”


“Oh yea my bad, my name is Thor I'm Anna's body guard” Sheki and Spike look at each other and mouth 'body guard?'


“Come on in, Anna and Kasy are up stairs” Thor says stepping aside to let them through. As Sheki and Spike walk in they look around and begin to notice how large Anna's home really is.


“Damn I didn't know Anna was loaded too”


“Yea this is about the size of my families summer home in Acapulco”


“Yea thats nice, so Thor can we just go up?” Sheki asks.


“Yea its the second door on the right, you might wanna knock they've been in that room for the past three days only coming out to eat. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know what those two have been up to if you catch my drift” Thor says with that same crooked smile he gave Spike not to long ago.


“Right we're just gonna go get Kasy then leave ok”


“Sounds like a good plan to me. Well it was nice meeting you two” Thor says and walks towards the kitchen.


“Well he was friendly very creepy, but friendly none the less”Sheki says as her and Spike walk towards the stairs. As they reach the top of the stairs they hear loud music and the sounds of running water. Spike starts to laugh as they get closer. Sheki sighs and shakes her head.


“Well I wonder if this is the right room” Spike says sarcastically.


“Ya think” Sheki says as she knocks on the door; the music cuts off and something is moving beyond the door.


“Its open!”Anna yells. Sheki grabs the door knob and takes a  deep breath.


“You ready?” Sheki asks.


“Yea are you?” Spike asks in return.


“Not really but whatever” Sheki turns the knob and opens the door slowly. Peaking her head in slightly, she sees Kasy sleep in Anna's bed and Anna coming out of her bathroom drying her hair with a towel.


“Sheki Spike? What are you guys doin here?”


“Her moms wouldn't stop callin me so they sent me to retrieve the missing one called Kasy. And as for Sheki she was just tagging along for the ride I guess”


“Yup I wanted to see where my sis was hiding for the past three days. Our mom has been cryin none stop lookin for this girl, but now that we've found her we can go home and my mom can stop worrying” Anna looks at Sheki and sighs.


“Let me take her home please”


“Huh why?” Spike asks in confusion. Anna walks over towards her bed and sits beside Kasy; gently stroking her lovers red hair.


“Because I dont want to wake her just yet. Kasy looks so peaceful when she sleeps and it would be a shame to wake her up ya know” Anna leans down and kisses Kasy on her forehead. Sheki looks at Anna and can tell that she really loves her sister.


“Ok just make sure she gets  home safely”


“I will”


“Good, oh Anna you take photography at school right?” Sheki asks as her and Spike walk back out the door.


“Yea why?”Anna asks with slight confusion.


“Cause shes gonna be grounded for a hot little minuet, our moms may be worried now, but as soon as they find out shes ok they are gonna tear her ass apart. So you may want to take a pic to remember what she looks like” Spike chuckles a little and nudges her towards the door.


“Come on bearer of bad news lets go” Anna waves bye to Spike and Sheki. She sighs with a little sadness. She doesn't want this to end, she's never felt something like this before. She knows this is love but what kind of love is this? Is this the love that fairy tales talk about or is this the unknown love that she reads in romance novels? Anna's mind races searching for the right answer, but can't seem to find it.


She sighs and grabs her camera, a Nikon g7. As she focus her camera she realizes how beautiful Kasy is. The evening light shinning upon her light green skin, like the first day of spring shining its brilliant light on the new leaves and her hair like wild fires; untamed and uncontrollable.


“This is a picture to remember”




A few hours pass and Kasy finally wakes up. She stretches out and sits up slowly, looking around the dark room with sleepy eyes she hears the door open. She tries to make out who the stranger is entering her new sanctuary. As the door close she hears the person struggle with something. It dawns on her who has walked in the room.


“Need some help baby?” She asks with a smirk as she looks at Anna trying to cut on the light and hold a tray of some sort in her hands.


“Please and thank you” Kasy smiles getting up to help her struggling lover. Kasy turns on the lights and takes the tray from Anna.



“So I see you brought us some food”


“No I brought you some food, I already ate” Kasy sets the tray down on the bed and looks at the buffet of food Anna tried to bring in. Anna sits next to Kasy and starts to explain all the food.


“So lets see I brought you some left over chines from the other night, a angry whopper from burger lord, a few slices of pizza and a sandwich” Kasy looks over the tray causing her mouth to water.


“So all this is for me?”


“Do yo know how much you eat?! You closed down china buffet for the week in one day Kase. This should be nothing for you”


“True, but you just want to get me all plump and fat so I can't fit out of your door”Kasy says stuffing food into her mouth. Anna laughs as she watches Kasy demolish every piece of food in her sight. Kasy finishes her food in ten minuets with a swollen belly laying her head in Anna's lap. Anna starts to stroke Kasy's hair.


“Full?”


“Oh yea. That was good baby thanks” Anna smiles and kisses her on her nose.


“Your welcome, but I think its time I get you home” Kasy looks at Anna placing a hand on her cheek.


“Fuck...I dont want to go home just yet”


“I know you don't but you have to, Spike and Sheki came over earlier to take you home but I told them I would do it” Kasy sighs and pushes herself up.


“I guess your right. My moms are probably going crazy, actually I'm surprised they didn't find me sooner, oh well” Kasy starts to get dress as Anna grabs the empty tray.


“Want me to take that down for you baby?”Kasy asks as she slips on her socks. Anna smiles and shakes her head.


“No its ok baby I got it, but you can walk down there with me if you want to” Kasy smiles and hops up. As they walk down the steps Anna's father walks up the stairs.


“Oh well hello there Kasy I didn't know you were here” Drew says with a warm smile. Kasy smiles back.


“Yup Anna here was holding me hostage for a few days”


“Oh yea thats exactly what I was doing” Anna says as she pokes Kasy in her belly with the empty tray.


“Well I was just coming to tell you that I have to leave on a business trip. I'll be gone for three weeks unless you wanted to come with me Anna-bear”


“Can't I have a lot of make up work to do before summer break and stop calling me that!” Kasy and Drew laugh to themselves as Anna starts to blush.


“So yea I'm going to take her home now I'll be back shortly ok”


“Ok Anna-bear be safe and it was nice seeing you again Kasy”


“You to Dr. D-wait is it ok if I call you that?” Drew smiles and pats Kasy on the shoulder.


“Of course,frankly I was getting tired of people calling me Mr. Lipsky it makes me feel old”


“You are old dad”Anna says as she starts to walk past him.


“Hey I'm not to old to throw you cross me knee young lady!”


“Yea yea daddy we're leaving now”As Anna and Kasy make their way down the steps they see Thor walking past the stair way.


“Hey Thor can you take care of this for me”Anna says tossing the tray to him.


“No prob. Where are you two headed?”


“It time for me to go home I guess. My parents have been searchin for me so I might as well grace them with my presence before the week is over” Kasy says stretching her arms above her head.


“Well it was nice meeting you Kase, dont be a stranger ok” Thor says shaking Kasy's hand and giving her a none crooked smile, but a friendly one.







“Three, two, one YES! I'm off the clock”Sheki says as she punches out for the day. As she walks out of Bestbuy she says good bye to her  fellow coworkers and sees Spike sitting in the empty parking lot. She smiles and walks to the car.


“I thought Spaz was coming to get me”


“He was but he had to work over time”


“I wounder why, aren't you his boss?” Sheki asks with her arms crossed. Spike smiles and winks.


“Get in unless you wanna walk home”


“Ill take my chances”


“Sheki” Sheki smiles and gets in the car. They kiss and pull off.


“So how was work?”Spike asks as he turns on the radio.


“Ok I guess, how bout you?”


“Hm lets see fired three people and promoted Spaz to manager”


“WHAT! Are you serious thats great I have to call him”Sheki says with excitement. Spike smiles. Sheki calls Spaz with a smile on her face.


“Hello?”


“Congrats baby I heard you got promoted”


“Yea I did, I'm guessing Spike told you huh”


“Yup he just picked me up from work”


“Ok as long as you got a ride I'm happy” All of a sudden Spaz gets really quite and Sheki notices the change in the atmosphere.


“Baby are you ok?” She asks. Spaz sighs.


“Babe I think we need to talk”Sheki's heart beat starts to pick up.


“Um o-ok” The car goes quiet; Spike looks at Sheki to see whats wrong and sees a tear fall from her eye. Spike pulls into her drive way and cuts off the car. Its been five minuets since Sheki's been off the phone. Just as another tear was about to fall he catches it with his finger.


“You shouldn't waste your tears on him. I mean I love the boy but if he can't appreciate a girl like-”Sheki holds up her hand stopping Spike in the middle of his sentence and says “You know what Spike I'll talk to you later” and with that she gets out of his car.


“Sheki wait” She keeps walking, but that doesn't stop him. He hops out of the car and grabs her pulling her into a big hug, she breaks down in his arms. Shego opens the front door and sees her baby girl crying.


“Yo what the hell did you do to my daughter!”Shego says as she rushes over to look at Sheki.


“Ma its ok Spike didnt do anything, he was giving me a ride home”


“Yea Ms. Shego I didnt do anything but that boy of hers-”Sheki grabs his arms and shakes her head.


“What happened with her boy?” Spike looks at Sheki and clenches his jaw.


“Nothing happened”


“Oh well baby its late go get ready for bed ok” Sheki nods and walks in the house. As she closes the front door Shego grabs Spike by the throat and flings him to the ground.


“What happened to my lil girl and where is Kasy?! I thought you were bringing her home”Just as she said that Anna pulls up behind Spikes car in the drive way. Kasy sees Spike on the ground and jumps out of the car to see what is going on.


“MA!! WHAT ARE YOU DOIN?!”


“Nothin just talkin to your friend- hey wait a goddamn minuet WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN FOR THE PAST THREE DAYS!!”
